Academic Excellence

Rooted in the belief that education should cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a love of learning, our traditional approach engages the spirit, mind and body of every student.

Our Christ-centered approach nurtures intellectual, moral, spiritual and physical capabilities.

Our teachers maintain subject expertise, have a passion for learning and are deeply committed to shepherding their students' hearts.  They implement an integrated curriculum that aims to develop the whole child with a focus on all that is good, true and beautiful.

Preschool

At Trinity Christian School, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This dedication extends to our preschool program and strengthens our commitment to provide a high quality early childhood education.

Our robust preschool program includes full and half-day Pre-Kindergarten for three year olds and Junior Kindergarten for four year olds. All preschool activities are geared at providing opportunities for instructing the children in loving others, being joyful, being peacemakers, being patient, loving what is good, being kind, being faithful and exercising self-control.

Preschool students enjoy Christ-centered curriculum focused on letters, numbers and shapes taught through individual and group play, memorization, singing and chanting. Additionally, students enjoy weekly chapel and specials, including art, music, Hawaiian, PE and water safety. Special events such as Kupuna Day, Field Trips and May Day further complement the preschool experience, and provide opportunities to partner with parents.

Our preschool is well-positioned to spark wonder, wisdom, and worship as we undertake the mission of creating a love of learning in our youngest students.

Grammar School

In classical Christian education, Kindergarten Prep through Fifth Grade is referred to as Grammar School. This stage of learning focuses on students learning the fundamentals of every subject so that they are prepared for a lifetime of learning.

Our Grammar School students learn important information through developmentally appropriate learning methods such as memorization through songs, chants, physical movement, games, and journaling. Students memorize amazing amounts of information like multiplication tables, states and capitals, history timelines, bible verses, scientific categorization and much more.

Our device-free classrooms use physical books, hands on activities and visual aids to reinforce concepts and engage the long-term memory. This approach helps students retain information more effectively, especially when combined with frequent review and repetition.

Additionally, all students are engaged in multisensory specials including art, music, physical education, swimming and Hawaiian or Latin language.

Logic School

The Logic School at Trinity Christian School is a spiritually robust and academically rigorous program designed to inspire middle school students.

Our 6th through 8th grade students have moved on from the songs and chants that are used during the Grammar phase and begin to use those foundations to make sense of their knowledge and experiences. Logic students engage in Socratic discussions and debate, and most importantly, learn how to make sense of the things they are learning through discourse. Our experienced teachers help guide students as they develop a sense of wonder and grow their ability to develop reason logically, truthfully and respectfully.
